Day by day, time by time.
A snowflake that falls and melts.
The whole world, looking like a winter wonderland.
But this winter wonderland is empty.
The only sound heard, the silent noise of snowflakes falling to the ground.
This view, this window, I’ve seen it a thousand times.
Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.
The four seasons have passed this window numerous times.
You’ve seen all that needs to know about the world through this window.
You’ve seen through it for such a long time.
It’s your whole world.
Learning a fact is not the same as living it, experiencing it, and knowing it.
You can read about space, but you don’t really know space.
You don’t know how it feels, how you see it through your own perspective.
That exists for all things, you can always read up or learn about things theoretically but it’s not the same as experiencing it.
When you’re stuck, in a situation that doesn’t allow you to act.
All you can do is read up on these things. You try desperately to find ways to simulate what you’ve never experienced before.
So you read, imagine, and take up any resource to build an image and feeling of what the experience is like because you can’t have it.
And despite thinking you know it, you don’t really know it.
All you know is something made up, fake.
Built-up from your own mind and the resources pulled from its surroundings.
Maybe, there’s no way around it, the only way to know it, is to experience it and live it.
Guess it’s time to stop looking through the window.
