How to post on Reddit

Reddit, the community where most of the users lurk around and don’t actually post on the site.

Now it’s all fine and dandy to just read Reddit posts but you’ll get much more out of it by asking for advice specifically for yourself.

Now that doesn’t mean you should go on r/food and ask about advice on how to fix a bike.

You’ve got to find the right subreddit to ask the right questions. And also be sure to take any advice with a grain of salt. Sure they could be a guru that has tons of life experience and will give valuable advice, but they could also be a kid whose experience is limited to browsing about the topic on the internet. Nothing against the latter, however, everyone’s experience is different so you should take each advice with skepticism.

But posting on Reddit is still better because the respondents will specifically address your problem instead of someone else’s which may be slightly different from yours.

And as much as Reddit can provide answers for you, nothing beats diving headfirst into the problem since you’ll learn so much more than a hypothetical situation.
